Sylvaner
A dry, easy, pleasant wine which is slightly fruity with plant-like aromas. It is a relatively discreet wine with a fresh bouquet and a simple structure.
A thirst-quenching wine which can be served with a starter: quiche Lorraine, onion tart, charcuterie (cold pork meat), ham, fish.

Pinot Blanc
Produces a yellow-coloured, fresh wine with a greenish flavour and aromas which are discreet, delicate and round, typical of Alsace. It presents a balance between acidity and matter and has peach, pear and apple aromas.
It is recommended to drink this wine within the first two or three years. It is remarkably well-suited to cold starters: terrines, pâtés, salads with various dressings

Pinot Gris
This wine has very complex aromas with touches of candied fruit, a somewhat unctuous and smoked flavour, with almost a touch of woodland and a slight floral touch in its first years. A full-bodied, fat, round, suave wine with a long finish.
This wine has good ageing potential and gains concentration and bouquet.
It can be served throughout a whole meal.
It goes remarkably well with foie gras, terrines and pasta, as well as mushrooms, white meat, pheasant and veal.

Riesling
The master of Alsace wines. The crispest and the most pointed of grape varieties. It personifies a fruity and floral flavour with a touch of mineral aroma.
When young, it presents a dominantly fruity flavour and then develops a mineral touch (gun flint) and aromas of cooked fruit. Riesling has excellent ageing potential.
The ideal wine to accompany fish, prepared in any way. Also well-suited to shell fish, sea food and lobster.

|
Muscat
The most marked of Alsace white wines and the most aromatic. It reproduces the most faithfully the aromas of the grapes from which it is made. A dry wine, quite different from the sweet Muscats of the Mediterranean.
A marvellous wine for apéritif. It can be served at any time of day. It goes marvellously well with asparagus and can accompany spicy dishes, for example Mexican or Moroccan food.

Pinot Noir
The only Alsace variety producing red wine. A charming summer wine and a good compromise between a strong red wine and a rosé.
This grape variety gives the wine aromas of red fruit (cherry) and black currant. Beautifully concentrated and well structured. Accompanies red or white meat. This wine is not very tannic and can be served throughout a whole meal.

Gewurztraminer
An enchanting wine, the best known of Alsace wines. It offers a true outburst of aromas, along with density and incomparable complexity. It has floral touches, especially rose, fruity aromas (quince, grapefruit, lychee) and spicy aromas (cinnamon).
This fragrant wine has good ageing potential.
Can be served as an aperitif or to accompany foie gras, cheese (blue cheese, Munster) and desserts which are not too sweet.
